Per Night Rates
Mt Olympus accommodation fees are based on per night charges with a maximum stay of 10 days.

Ski weeks run from Sunday to Friday and food and skiing are included in the pricing. Lunch on arrival day is not included.
Please note: If arriving for a ski week early on Sunday morning and intending to ski between 9am and 3pm, a lift pass must be purchased.

Bottom Hut

The Bottom Hut is located at the base of the Mt Olympus valley at 1050 metres (3445 feet) and offers a rustic, more affordable accommodation solution or as an alternative when the Top Hut is full or inaccessible.

  • The Bottom Hut is basic alpine hut accommodation complete with bunk style shared sleeping, a log burner for warmth and self catering kitchen. Rustic but honest.
  • Plenty of parking for those not keen on navigating the access road in their own vehicle, with thumbing a lift an easy option as incoming visitors drive past.
  • Please bring your own food (or you might starve!)

Members Rates 2022

Member rates are determined by how many work party days each member completes every year - this means that the more work hours contributed to the Club, the higher the discount that is earned off the Non-Member Per Night Rate.

Key Information

  • Meals as part of accommodation in the Top Hut cannot be opted out of - please don’t ask. The Top Hut is governed under the Food Safety Act 2014 and this requires us to prepare food under commercial kitchen rules (Take it up with the Government!).
  • Conversely, Bottom Hut rates are for accommodation only (not a commercial kitchen) so please DO bring your own food - no food is available otherwise.
  • Lunch on arrival day: If lunch is required on the day of arrival, (either ski weeks or weekend) please opt in on the booking form OR request and pay up the hill before 11am.
  • Chill passes can be redeemed but please advise when booking.
  • There are no ski hire or ski tuning facilities on the mountain. Skis can be hired in Christchurch, Methven or Darfield. 

Payments.

Mt Olympus only accepts payment at the time of booking by Visa and Mastercard. Last minute bookings can be paid for on the hill by Eftpos or Credit Card. (We do not accept Amex or Diners Club Cards).
