The Top Hut.
Situated at 1620 metres (5315 feet) above sea level, the Top Hut is probably the highest accommodation in New Zealand. It is definitely home to New Zealand's highest hot tub!
Fully insulated and centrally heated with separate areas for day visitors and overnight guests, the Top Hut is purpose-built as a fully self-contained alpine lodge.
Staying at the Top Hut is all about mixing with visitors and locals alike, pitching in and helping the staff do what needs to be done and enjoying the legendary atmosphere and hospitality that Mt Olympus is renowned for.
A four year staged renovation completed in 2014 by Club Members, ensured skiers visiting Mt Olympus gained the benefit of:
Staying at the Top Hut.
The Top Hut can accommodate guests on a single night, weekend or weekly basis during the ski season. From an accommodation perspective, the unique ski in - ski out positioning of the hut provides spectacular views, easy access to tows and a wonderful atmosphere.
Guests on ski week packages are expected to assist the staff with light cleaning and kitchen duties which will be rostered.
The Top Hut and Bottom Huts are available during the winter for groups such as schools, tramping clubs and universities, dependent on availability.
