The 2025 ski season is shaping up to be an absolute cracker, and as always, we’ve got a jam-packed calendar of events ready to roll. Check out the highlights below and lock the dates in now. And if you’re keen to spend a night (or two) on the hill, don’t wait – bookings fill fast!
Opening Day – Saturday, July 20th
It’s on! Opening day is for everyone – first turns, big grins, and that classic Olympus stoke. Come and get amongst it at the Playground of the Gods!
Curling on the Tarn – Saturday, August 9th
Postponement date: Sunday, August 10th
Come experience NZ’s highest-altitude curling event! With snow-blown ice, smooth stones, flowing mulled wine, dress-ups, helicopter action, and good times for all ages, this is one event you don’t want to miss.

Mt Olympus Club Champs – Saturday, August 30th

Clubbies, it’s time to shine! Wax your skis, don your wildest outfit, and charge into a day of racing, laughter, family fun, and club pride.

MOFO Weekend – Friday, September 5th – Monday, September 8th

The Mt Olympus Freeride Open is back! A grassroots celebration of NZ freeride, MOFO is a must whether you’re competing or just soaking up the action. More info to come soon.
GRITT Camp – Tuesday, September 9th & Wednesday, September 10th
Two days of epic freeride coaching for skiers and snowboarders aged 12–19. If you’re looking to push your skills to the next level, this is the place to do it. Stay tuned for full details.
NZJFT – Thursday, September 11th – Sunday, September 14th

The NZ Junior Freeride Tour returns to Olympus! Watch the next generation of freeriders throw down in one of the country’s most iconic venues. Always an inspiring weekend.
The Last Supper – Friday 3rd October
Join us for one final hurrah as we wrap up the 2025 season with Lloyd’s legendary Last Supper. It’s a right royal affair—think dress-ups (of course), delicious food, flowing drinks, and all the laughter and good vibes Mt Olympus is known for. There's no better way to round out the season than with a feast among friends at the top of the world.
