Snow Report

Saturday the 2nd of August - We are Open! Our hiking terrain still has the goods, and possibly the only off-piste skiing available in all of Canterbury, although it will be a bit more work than opening weekend. Inbounds Mollies is skiing much better than you'd expect and Main Face has its pockets too. Listen we are the only clubbie in the Craigieburns where you can go skiiing. What is club field skiing about, you may ask? Its about being in the mountain with friends, our carpool priority just requires a 4x4 on the Summer Road, don't worry there's no shuttle available even if you wanted it... although if you're cute Derek might pick you up. To be frank, current snow coverage below Bus Stop is straight up agricultural, three furrow ploughs sort of agricultural, the sort of thing that you'd see at High Peak Station in the 1850's, but hey, its skiing! We're trying to buy tussock seeds from Broken River for the future learners area. Expect an adventure through sharky waters to get back to Main Tow. Our towlines are narrow, its not the day to teach your boyfriend how to hug a rope. We have beds available in the hut but only 4 so come get a bed early. Plus Lloyds lunch and a Sloppy Coffee is worth the trip alone! Summer Road is for High Clearance 4x4 Vehicles, please radio before driving up and don't forget to bring a towbelt from the container if you need one.
