A summer full of projects!

Wow, what a busy summer we had up the hill with our summer working bees! We had excellent club members and prospective club member turnout and each work party. This really helped enable us to checkoff heaps of jobs off our ever-growing “To Do” list!

Summer working bees are a great way to reunite with people you may only see over winter as well as meet new club members. It’s also pretty cool to see our Playground of the Gods without her usual winter coat on!

As a member, you receive a certain discount based on how many work party days you do over summer (and the previous winter), which offers a great incentive to come up and help out the club. Cheaper skiing, who doesn’t love that!?

Some of our more notable accomplishments from this summer include:

  • New container at the top car park (with seating!)
  • Re-painted the tow shed roof
  • Tow maintenance + phase 1 of upgrades
  • New bench on the top hut front deck, as well as replacing broken boards
  • Full hut deep clean plus general maintenance tasks and a new grill!
  • Concrete slabs poured for new hot tub location (2025) + new ski racks!
  • Leveling out learners tow off-load area

This is a very short selection off a massive list of completed jobs from the summer, which wasn’t without the hard work of our generous club members! We know Mt Olympus is ready for winter and ready to welcome you all up the hill in a few short months!
